Anyone know much about these? I would love to get an ATI but I can't afford it so I was looking and liked this fixture. Let me know if you know anything about it.

I haven't had much experience with these, but the going trend is - if you can't afford a ATI go with a Tek....look into the Teks, perhaps even the new Tek Elites as they have fans in the units now....they should be somewhat cheaper than the ATIs, and carry a good track record (I have seen several tanks that look great that run them)  Locally- Cap'n ran a tek and his colors are amazing...

I have aquatic life fixture and love it only thing is I would get new bulbs for it when you get it cuz the ones that come with it aint very good.
Only down fall I have seen besides bulbs is you cant put it on a controller. But it has a digital clock on the fixture.

The Aquatic Life fixtures put out pretty good light for being a mid-level fixture.

There are 2 major downfalls.

1) The bulbs need to be replaced so plan on another $25/bulb. All the sudden you are at an ATI pretty much.

2) When the timer goes out, you have no lights until you get a new timer and install it. Major hassle to me and a terrible design idea IMO.

I would go with a Tek first.

I have 2, one for my nano and one for my 72 gal. I would agree that the stock bulbs need to be replaced. The ati bulbs I put in look so much better. Having the built in timer is really nice. Eliminates 2 cords and 3 bigger timers.
