Dripping in a Kalkwasser solution can raise the pH.

@ Dan9554880
The Yellow tang is available if you are still interested. Due to the teardown the yellow tang got in a few scraps with my sail-fin and he's a little worse for wear so I'll drop the price to $10 for ya if you'll give him good home.

Updated:
I was going to get someone to buy the lot but that seems to have fallen through. last night I was able to drain the tank and get the fish out. I have them all in a 55 gallon bin awaiting your fish tanks.
Please look through what is available and hit me up. I had a few popper reaching out for some of the fish so I'll get back to you. I apologize for the confusion. This teardown has been crazy for me and I've not had much of a chance between work and the tank to get on the forum as much as I should have.

I have had it as low as 7.8 many times before and it is not a huge deal. I would not mess with it. There are some things that you can do that are not an additive. You can scrub the CO2 out of the air going into your skimmer using co2 media but that can cost a lot. The ph can be affected by the levels of CO2 in your home so you could try opening a window. I have found that the best solution is to run a refugium on a reverse light schedule (meaning that the light turns on at night). I spent a long time in the 7.9 range and It was fine. The corals still grew and the tank looked nice. I now run around 8.3 and I believe that it is because I have a strong light on a decent sized refugium.

General Discussion : Water Changes, do you do them?

I setup auto water changes on my 90 because I hated doing them manually.
I think you are really just trading work if you don't do them. The trace elements and nutrients that are being replenished with a water change still need to be replenished if you don't do them so you are either doing water changes and adding less extra stuff or not doing water changes and adding lots of extra stuff to make up for it.
The Triton method proves just that. No water changes with this method but you trade that for 7 different additives that you have to dose and monthly tests that you send in to monitor the levels.

I am considering setting up a 120G tank.   I currently have a 30 gallon, and rarely do water changes.    If I upgrade I will be even less likely to do them.

How many of you do regular water changes on a larger tank?

If you don't do them, what do you do instead?

In your opinion can you have a beautiful tank without water changes?   Is it something that can be done long term or are you really just setting yourself up for failure?

I've raised pH using a buffering solution that I was referred to by Rusty.  I can't remember the name of it right now, but he sells it in his store.  It raised it from mid 7 to 8.4 in about two weeks.  But be careful!  I didn't realize the effect that it had on my Alk numbers.  The alk went through the roof rather quickly and I lost a lot of coral.

I am a new hobbyist and I do not know how to raise the pH in the tank naturally. Is there any of you guys have tried any methods? I know that the pH should be above 8 but sometimes my tank get as low as 7.8.
