pretty sure it was a splitting lobophyllia. I have one in my tank that looks identical as far as the colors, flesh, growth patterns and the way it was splitting

the skeleton looks pretty damaged but you can see pieces of what are left from the jagged Septal teeth that make me pretty positive its a lobo.

Its starting to look a lot like a candy cane now. Ill post pictures as soon as its happy in my new frag tank.
