If your 95 is a 4 foot tank i would go with the MP40 as I have the MP10 in a 3 foot tank, and the flow is good but I doubt it would be good in a 4 foot tank.
Just my thought.
Now if you can go with two MP40, that is another story.

2 MP10's would be fine in that tank.
An MP10 will only really push the water about 30" or so before you will notice a huge drop off in flow.
Put one on each side and you will be fine. Put one like 4 inches from the back and the other 4 inches from the front. That way they don't work against each other.

I needed to play with the flow rate until I got something I liked. Also, I've noticed that they need to break in before it loses the hum noise. Don't know why.

Not that impressed with your 1/2" wave? I would imagine you are referring to surface ripple? How much more would you like?
Are you hearing the MP40 or the water? If it is the MP40 you need to adjust the wet side. You may be getting vibration (which can be quite loud).
I have a MP40 on my 90 gallon and have been very happy with, it once I got it tuned in. I plan on adding a second MP40.

Did you adjust the rubber on the dry side to the thickness of your glass? That makes a big difference. Also you need to turn the vortech all the up and move the wet side around a little until you find the sweet spot where it is the most quite. They are a little loud at first but get quite as they break in. Also to get a bigger wave you really need 2 vortechs, that way they can sync with each other.

Agreed...or more specifically, on mine at least, sync against each other on pulse mode.

I can understand where Kody is coming from. I've set my MP10 on my 50 cube to pulse (although I am quite impressed with even a 1/2" wave)and you do notice the noise more from the drive as it's pulsing. Especially compared to lagoon or reef crest mode where it only ramps up occasionaly to the max setting you have. My tank is in the basement so the only time I hear mine is when I'm down watching TV and even then I just turn up the volume.
