Hey guys, I know I've not been on here in a while but I'm still an avid reefer (not the pot smoking kind though). I'm looking into buying an RO filter for under my sink that will serve a dual purpose. 1) to supply my tank with a clean source of water to mix with and 2) to use as drinking water for my wife and I.

My wife is retardadly picky about water and will only drink certain brands of bottled water. Its taken a few years but through some trickery on my part she finally tasted RO water and likes it (I mean it doesn't take a genius to figure that that is how the bottle water companies do it).

Anyways, I'm now shopping for a good RO filter and found some online but I'd rather pick one up local if I can. So do any of you know where I can get a good RO filter at a good price locally and in addition, one that comes with the pressure tank and spout?

Thanks in advance.

Micah

My RO water is more pure and better tasting than all the bottled waters I have ever tasted.

FYI, adding the DI stage to an RO system is a waste of money. RO water takes the impurities from 200-500 ppm down to around 10ppm. That's more than pure enough for our reef aquariums and it tastes awesome.Smile

Absolutely safe.

What have you heard that causes it to be "risky"?

some others forums, they said that it remove minerals and what not and it actually hydrates you instead of dehydrate since the water its taking H molecules to stabilize

R/O is what turns $0.01 tap water into the $3.00 - $5.00 water that you pay for at 7-11.

LOL LOL that's a better explanation than any boring thing I could have said.Thumbs Up

Water is a good cleaner. RO Purified water is a very good cleaner.
Water dissolves whatever it can so as soon as it goes in your mouth it starts to dissolve all the stuff that doesn't need to be there. Basically it cleans your mouth. Purified water is that much better. I've been drinking my RO water for more than 6 years.
