I now have 10% of my sand replaced and I know Wrasse need sand to rest. Will the Wrasse find this or do I need my whole tank done?

I would recommend getting at least 50% of your sand changed our first so that the wrasses have more places to choose from.

I guess it depends on how rocky your original sand is with the replacement sand. They don't need sugar fine sand to be able to burrow for the night. Mine is a mixture of crushed coral and oolitic sand and I have 2 wrasses who do just fine.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Not all Wassse need to dive into the
sand at night, and if they really need to they will find a a good spot. Some create a cocoon that they sleep in, similar to a
Parrotfish. It depends on the individual as well as the species. Here is the previous nights cocoon of one of my Sixline Wrasse.

Like Brad mentioned in the other thread, fairy wrasses will sleep in your rock, but fish like christmas wrasses, leopards, radiant wrasses, potters, etc. will need sand to burrow into.
