Centerpiece Fish for 55 gallon

Just looking for ideas for a "reef safe" or generally reef safe centerpiece fish for my 55 gallon.  I originally bought my small blue hippo to act as the centerpiece but when looking at other forums, I realized I would be frowned upon because my tank isn't large enough to house any type of tang.  So, I plan on removing my tang in the near future and want to replace it with some other type of fish that could act as a centerpiece fish.  Mostly, trying to impress my wife.  Small little fish with minimal color just doesn't impress her, but she didn't like my idea of getting a bigger tank.....need to give this one a year or so.  Anyways, ideas?  In all honesty, is my blue hippo at a big disadvantage in a 55?  I don't mine replacing it....btw, for those who have been helping me in my previous post, my blue hippo is eating well, and has been spot free for the last week or so.   He seems to be fighting off whatever he had (if it was black ich) for 18 days straight.
