I found a very small shrimp that is red and white striped. He was hiding in an empty snall shell. I thought at first it was a vergy large pod....then noticed it was definately a shrimp.

Any ideas on what it is?  I can't seem to find that cool link to hitchhikers.

could it maybe be a camel back?  What direction are the stripes?  Any other characteristics that might help?  Sounds like it could be a pistol but more details and if you could somehow get a pic that would help.

I couldnt get the camera to focus that small.  It was an amphipod from one of those links! I had never seen one that large! he was half an inch when extended.

While I was waiting to ID... my four year old dumped him out!

Here is a real shrimp larvae hitchhiker that I found and photographed. I don't know what it came in on but I found it in a Stylophora (cats paw sps). The dots were brighter red but had faded by the time I got set up to take the shot.
