So I was doing the weekly water change on the 24g nano, The first section has: filter floss, uv light and sponge, second section had the heater and the chato, 3rd section has the return pump and small pump for my ICA chiller (integrated chiller assist), after removing everything out of the first 2 sections with out incedent I removed the smaller pump for the iac I proceeded to remove my return pump, everything was fine except I was pulling out the pump by the pipe that returns the water to the tank and right when I had the dang thing right over the tank the pipe slipped off the return pump and the whole return pump dropped into the main tank splashing water all over but I wasn't worried about that. . . oh no, I pulled the reutrn pump out and saw that my birds next had 4 pieces broken off of it
Sad day in my tank, I have never fragged anything before but talk about babptism by fire
I had some super glue and some small rubbell, I glued the pieces of the birds nest to 4 different pieces of rubble and viola I have 4 frags of birds nest. I will see how they are doing tonight when I get home but the pump hit the colony so hard that I had to reglue the larger colony back into the frag plug.
Any way when I glued the frags to the rubble I used super glue, I made a pile of glue, put the piece of the birds nest in the glue, submurged the whole thing, took it back out and put another thin layer of super glue around the base to ensure it would stay, with that being said was that the proper technique?
Also after I can see they are doing well what could I sell the frags for, they are all about 1"-1-1/2" long? The colony was doing very well, bright green polyups, full extension etc.
