If you are interested in hearing about the Reef Tour then I suggest tuning in to Fox13 next Tuesday morning. Rumor has it Mr. Heil will be on around 7:20am. Not only lookin' good in his WMAS shirt but looking scared knowing all of you are watching.
Now everyone tell your friends and please, please, please get those flyers out.
Did I mention that you can give out flyers to people at church, in the neighborhood, at work, and you can email them to all your friends?

umm... I will have a little purple one hopefully tonight  . I do remember hearing a story about a lobster last year though, or lack of one I think it was!  Ughh, I don't have tivo. Do they still sell vhs tapes?

I still have my lobster from last year.
I probably won't be setting up a new tank the night before this years tour though so I hope Shane doesn't say anything about jellyfish or giant squid.

I can't guarantee I won't promise something exotic.
I'm certain there will be mention of treats at each location this year though!

That's fine with me! Speaking of treats and such...is there a "reef tour instruction sheet"? I am new to this reef tour and so are a few others in "my area". They have been asking what exactly they should and should not be doing. Thanks!!

I'll have instruction sheets and helpful info and signs at Thursday's meeting. I'll have the area leaders take a few extra for those who miss the meeting.

Do:
Provide treats
scrape the algae off the tank glass
Open up the area in front of the tank and offer seating
Play Finding Nemo or Blue Planet etc on the TV.
Hand out WMAS business cards
Display reef books etc
Clean your bathroom.  Advertise prominantly
Share your excitement about the hobby
Keep the message board up and running throughout the tour, so we can keep eachother updated.
Refer your guests to other reef tour homes close by.
Do Not:
Frag anything out of your tank for people. Tell them to come back later. This isn't a yard sale.
Change anything drastically just prior to the tour. Too much could go wrong.
Wear your speedo and snorkel gear to "set the mood".  Charge admission or ask for "donations" to support your addiction.
