I try to stay away from them personally. Not very hardy IMHO

There is a huge debate between Julian Sprung and Eric Borneman about elegance corals.  Do a search on google and you can find out their opinions.

I didnt really plan on getting one....but the LFS got one in that was so spectacular color wise they didnt even finsh getting it outta the bag and I bought it!

Its been in the tank now for about 3 1/2-4 months and is doing great.  Still has the awsome color that it had when I bought it and seems to have grown a bit in size.  So I cant complain yet.

I do understand that they have been tough to maintain and keep over the last couple of years but so far this one is making it.  Jury is still out on if it will last more than a year in my tank.  But this is what my experience has been with them thus far......

300 gal. Frag System
300 gal. Live Rock Vat
240 gal. SPS/Clam Reef Tank
135 gal. SPS/Clam Reef Tank
75 gal. Softies only Tank
65 gal. LPS/Softies
24 gal. SPS/Softies Nano Reef

I've seen some really old ones in peoples tanks where there is MH and a plentiful calcium source, so my opinion is that more people ought to try them.

Its now December and mine is still looking real sweet in my tank.  Still not sure if I am just lucky or if it really will thrive in the tank.
