What is happening, that caused you to remove the livestock? Is that fish and coral too? Please describe it or post a pic or even better, call me. My number is below. But I warn you - you have to be willing to follow what I advise you to do. Are you ready to do that? 90% of the time in these situations, the very absolute simplest thing is to keep the lights on the algae in the tank and Refugium. This will get your tank back in shape in a week or less.
I have time today to come over and take a look. If you want that, just call me.

Matt made an important phone call to me. ![Nuke Nuke](smileys/smiley34.gif) We discovered the problem is that he added 100 lbs. of Fiji LR that arrived at his door on Thursday. Matt's tank needs our help right away. Unfortunately, it had nothing in it but sand that had just been moved. ![Ouch Ouch](smileys/smiley18.gif) I am in the middle of my own excess new LR crisis so I can't spare any Chaeto. In another week, I could be more help. I hope someone can help by donating Algae and even taking some of the Fiji LR into their tank for a few weeks to help it recover. As I said above, what is needed now is a whole lot of Macroalgae.

Rather than moving LR to someone elses tank why not mix up some saltwater and cure it in some rubbermaid totes or a large trash can?

I have a bunch of cheato and caulerpa as well and I have room in my tanks to help recover some of the rocks. Burt's idea works as well, I have done it in the past and it works great.

This wasn't meant to hijack the thread but as a possibly better option. While you can cure live rock more quickly in an established aquarium you also introduce any pests or problems with uncured live rock into each tank you place it into. It is well known that both beneficial life and pests are introduced into our systems from live rock. When setting up a new system you have a chance to deal with pests before the introduction of other livestock. Introducing uncured live rock into an established reef is a big gamble IMO and one that shouldn't be taken lightly.
Personally I would never introduce uncured live rock into my systems without treating it first. It's just not worth the risk.
