I think it would be great to have a WMAS RSS feed with the top 10 or 20 viewed and/or replied MB topics.

Your right . You can try http://www.utahreefs.com/forum/rss.asp - www.utahreefs.com/forum/rss.asp
It is still not working 100%. I started working on getting an rss feed running a couple of months ago and abandoned it because I didn't think anybody would use it.

Q. What is RSS? A. From webreference.com: Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing headlines and other Web content. Think of it as a distributable "What's New" for your site. Originated by UserLand in 1997 and subsequently used by Netscape to fill channels for Netcenter, RSS has evolved into a popular means of sharing content between sites (including the BBC, CNET, CNN, Disney, Forbes, Motley Fool, Wired, Red Herring, Salon, Slashdot, ZDNet, and more). RSS solves myriad problems webmasters commonly face, such as increasing traffic, and gathering and distributing news. RSS can also be the basis for additional content distribution services.
Q. Okay that's cool, but how can it help me? A. By using an RSS reader, you are able to keep track of what is happening on the WMAS message board without having to visit the site constantly. Your RSS reader can be set to update automatically when a new post is made, or at regular intervals.
Q. What do I use to view the RSS feed? A. A RSS reader. Do a search using google.com and you will find many free readers. There are also RSS readers for handhelds, phones, etc.
Hope that helps. I am also going to make a FAQ with this information.

You can find the full-blown description of RSS
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rss - here . Basically they
are live bookmarks that update automatically thus allowing you to
quickly see what has been updated on a website without having to go to
the website. Hope that makes sense.
THANKS JAKE!!! I don't know
about other people but I can't imagine surfing without RSS feeds.
They are the 1st thing I go to when I want to see what's been posted on
my favorite sites. With all the posting that goes on in our
forums an RSS feed would save me a lot of time.

I had to pull the RSS feeds due to a bug. I will see if I can find some time to get this fixed and get it back up and going.

Okay,
I think I have fixed the rss bug that presented itself yesterday.
I have re-added the RSS link on your left.
For those who want to give it a try on their computers, I use a program called rssreader found here. http://www.rssreader.com/ - http://www.rssreader.com/
For those that want to try it on their phone, handhelds, blackberries, etc. I like http://www.feedalot.com - www.feedalot.com .

For those who care:
I have updated the web site so that FireFix 1.5 automatically detects the RSS feed. If you have FireFox 1.5 you can click on the "Add Live Bookmark" button in the address bar.
