I've finally reached the point where I have to upgrade the lighting in my trusty 6-gal JBJ Nano. The ballast died so I figure I should probably upgrade to LEDs. I don't want to spend a ton, I only keep softies in the tank. I need something that I can retrofit into the canopy/lid because the tank is in my kid's room and kids do dumb things so I don't want an open tank.
I've looked at a bunch of cheap options on eBay but figured I better check here for recommendations before buying something.

Can you post the width measurements for your tank in question? I have an LED light for fresh that worked for my 20 that I can give you if your interested.
