Contestants please answer the questions and post a new picture as soon as you can. Thank you to all who participated. I apologize for not getting to the table as I had desired. We are still trying to make all the information available for educational purposes. For all of you who still have a living frag and have posted at all the check-ins, I will be contacting you all individually after you post for measurement of your frag. 1. Please post a current picture of your frag. 2. Have you tested your water recently? (i.e. calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, nitrate, phosphate, nitrite, ammonia, salinity, etc.) For each test completed please share your results. (If tested multiple times, please share the date you tested and what your results were. ------------- Yes, I'm a Pharmacist. No, the blue lights at my house are not growing "pharmaceuticals"... |

I doubt I win anything. My frag only grew mm's and it is tough to put a ruler to it with the angles it grew. This picture is from 2/11. It is with the flash so it will look like it does in natural light.

 Where it all began.   Where it has come and still alive.  Been fighting some algaes. Finally determined it's my rodi unit. The tds meters says 0 but 2 hand held tds checkers are saying over 90 tds. Makes me feel better knowing what it is and now a simple fix for my 6 stages. Nevertheless it grew and kept color. I'm happy with it although watch out for what ever is next on the grow out. It's been fun what's next  ------------- 90 gal reef w/refugium 24 gal softie tank 11 gal nano anemone tank 5 gal fresh water |

 2/12/17 Po4 - 0.05 SG - 1.026 Mg - 1400 Ca - 410 KH - 9.0 2/19/17 Po4 - 0.07 SG - 1.026 Mg - 1340 Ca - 400 KH - 9.0 Something has upset it the last few weeks and caused it to pale out a bit on top. It's still fat and growing all around the edges. I'm moving it to a slightly lower light area of the tank to see if that's the problem. This whole thing has been tons of fun. I can't wait until the next one.  -Dave |

Check out this little video I put together... It's roughly one image a day for the entire Grow Out period (minus a couple gaps due to holidays.) Please forgive the quality, this was my first time putting something like this together and it was quite the learning experience.  -Dave |

Winner will be announced at at the April meeting just over a week away. We should have information on the next grow out then as well.
