Looks sad lately. I'm not finding time to feed much, and that is all I do for the tank these days.
I toss bunches of caulerpa when it grows too much.

Coming today if I can make it home before lights go downt. Also been struggling a bit, I added new media to my calcium reactor and well my alkalinity was all over the place for about 5 days. Learned best to leave it alone until it calms down, kinda like me when I don't get the coral I want I carbon dose vinegar daily and run cheato with heavy skimming. I feed a ton of food for my fish as well as feed corals daily.
Alk 8.5

Po4 - 0.08
SG - 1.026
Mg - 1320
Ca - 390
KH - 9.1

Po4 - 0.11
SG - 1.026
Mg - 1320
Ca - 390
KH - 8.4

My primary means of nutrient export is a large growth of caulerpa in the sump.  I trim about half of it every 3 weeks or so.  I add a small bag of gfo to the sump as well when the Po4 gets too high, which I promptly did after returning from my holiday vacation.  I still struggle with hair algae so I've been researching additional nutrient export options.  Dennis speaks very highly of carbon dosing and I've been toying with the idea of an Algae Scrubber if I can figure out a good configuration to add to the sump.

Contestants have until the end of the day Friday, January 9th to complete and answer the following.

I'm hoping the deadline was until the 9th, because Friday the 9th doesn't exist. Friday was the 6th. Rule 2) i)        "Requirements must be completed by the 7th or 22nd of each month or participant will be disqualified." So I'm still in it! Whew! I was worried for a minute!

1.

2. Calcium - 400
Alkalinity - 8.7
Magnesium - 1600
Nitrate - 5
Phosphate - unfortunately 0.00
Nitrite - N/A
Ammonia - N/A
Salinity - 1.0265

3. What methods do you use for nutrient export?
- I use a protein skimmer. That's it.

How often?
- The protein skimmer runs 24/7.

How often do you the media or clean it?
- I empty the skimmer collection cup twice daily and clean the neck and collection cup every 3 days.

I haven't tested since my last update, nutrient export is mainly done by skimming and removing macro algae.
