I have always loved to see progression pics so as I was going through some recent pics and some old pics I couldn't believe the difference in my tank.  I thought I'd share.

Please don't make the mistaken assumption that because these have grown so much I haven't lost my fair share of corals.  I was also very disheartened by the losses I've had as I went through my old pics.

Blushing Leather - Probably early 2004...

Same Coral - October 2004 (It is about the same size now after being fragged many times.  Unfortunately the frags have never attached and thus always end up disappearing into the rockwork never to be seen again.)

These are Frogspawn and Hammer Corals.  I placed them close together because I didn't know better at the time and they seem to have gotten along.

Early 2004 - The Hammer was purchase from Fish 4 U with 2 small heads.  The Frogspawn was part of the tank purchase from Suzy and had 3 heads if I remember correctly.

September 2004 - They are obviously filling out.

August 2005 - I can't believe the growth in these.  You can hardly tell they are two separate corals.  I just counted 7 heads on the Hammer and between 15 and 18 on the Frogspawn not including the little baby heads growing down inside the branches.

This is a Fuzzy Leather I purchased from a member of the club who was tearing down his tank preparing to move out of state.  Unfortunately I don't remember his name.

August 2004.

August 2005.  This is after being fragged many, many times in the last year.  If I let it go it gets way to big for my tank.  (By the way, frags of this leather will be available at the FragFest on Sept. 1.)

I purchased this Hydnopora when it was nearly dead.  I had small hopes that it would come back to life.  As you can see it did very well.

June 2004.

October 2004.

August 2005.

This is my Photosynthetic Gorgonia.  I got it with the tank purchase from Suzy.  It is now one of the showpieces in my tank.  Don't bother asking because I don't think I'll ever frag this piece.

Early 2004.

September 2004.

August 2005.

For the record I do have several other pieces of the same species I might be talked into fragging.

Just for some contrast look behind the Gorgonia in each of these pics and find the Pom Pom Xenia.  It is in every pic, but you have to look close.  This piece has never been fragged and it is the exact same piece, no replacement over this time.  Don't tell me Xenia Grows out of control.

I Hope this isn't too boring, but I'm having fun so I'm gonna keep going.  Please be patient with the download of the pics.

This Pink Finger Leather came with the tank when I got it from Suzy.  At the time my opinion was that it was a terribly ugly coral.  I think it outgrew the ugly stage because I quite like it now.

Early 2004.

September 2004.

August 2005.  Again this is after being fragged many, many, times.  (Frags of this coral will also be available at the Sept. 1st FragFest.)

These Purple Mushrooms came with the tanks when I purchased it from Suzy.  (I know nobody can believe that mushrooms multiply.  I'm putting it here anyway cause I think they are cool.)

June 2004.

August 2005.

It's good to have pictures , so you can go back and look. You don't realize how much they grow when you see them every day.

I have a branching hammer coral and when I bought it in the spring of 04 it had 7 heads, last week I counted 26, I couldn't believe it.

Nice pictures Will.

This Yellow Fiji Leather came with the tank when I purchased it from Suzy.  This has always been one of my favorite corals.

Early 2004.

August 2005.  About a month ago I got a nice little frag of this leather that pretty much fragged itself.  It is doing nicely as well.

One last set before everyone get tired of this.

These are Zoanthids I got from LaDawn.  They were almost wiped out in her tank, but have made a nice comeback recently.

October 2004 - This is the original piece.  She was able to get a few to grow over on this branching rock to give to me.

August 2005.  Now if they would just get their original color back I'd be really happy.  I think they may be to close to the light.
