I have a 29 Gal Nano Cube that I want to replace the powerhead I have in it, and want to know what size Koralia Powerhead that you would suggest? Need to increase the flow in the tank to take care of the dead spots. Thanks in advance.

I have 3 of the nano's in my 28 gallon.  I'm going to replace them with 2 425's soon as I still have so dead spots. If the 425's aren't enough I'm going for 2 WP10's Krazie

One $16 Maxijet 600 stream powerhead placed in the right position would provide all the flow needed to grow any reef animals you want.

Want to know how? Just ask.

That would be great Mark! What's the secret to positioning the Maxijet?

First thing I need to say here is that just because it's only $16 (Actually $15.29 on Amazon right now) doesn't mean it's cheap stuff. The Koralia powerheads are popular mostly because of marketing and higher profit margin for the stores. In a comparison of flow versus cost, the Maxijet powerheads come out way ahead.

I've spent the last 15 years figuring out how to use the most economical powerheads to create the most effective flow without the use of fancy wave action electronic equipment. Years ago I did a thread about the Poormans Wavemaker. It's still listed along with a library of other Reefkeeping Tips here:  http://utahreefs.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=9244" rel="nofollow - http://utahreefs.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=9244

My recent development, that outperforms the Poormans Wavemaker, creates plenty of wave action, as you can see in this pic.

Can you see the powerhead in this coral farm tank? That's not exactly where I would put it if this were a display tank with some nice aquascaping. Instead it would be hidden behind rocks. Pictured below, this 75 has 2600 gph of flow, yet the two Maxijet 1200 stream powerheads are unseen.
