Sorry I can't recall the brand name, but several months ago quite a few members were purchasing circ pumps that were made in China and pretty reasonably priced.  Would anyone care to report back on your experience with them?  I will likely need to add one more circ pump to my tank when starting it back up (like an MP 10 or 40) and wondering about these other pumps.

Jebao WP series. I've had two running for over 6 months without a problem. I have them wired to my controller to have them turn on a 55% for 2 minutes, then slowly decrease to 0 and hold there for a minute, then ramp back up. Nice flow and the coral love it.

I liked them so much I bought a Jebao return pump from Kody72, haven't installed it. He still had one left last night. Check the classified here.

The pumps are the 'wp' series from Jebao:

wp10

wp40

wp60

I own 2 of the wp40s; I used to also own a wp60. I have had zero issues with them.

Currently I run 1 of the wp40s in my 90g, and it is the only pump in the tank - and it is plenty.

IMO, they actually make a better 'wave' than a Vortech.

I got mine off ebay (and the wp60 in a group buy here).

I would definitely recommend them.

I also have the WP40 in my 120 alone and it is plenty of water movement and adjustable to get amazing waves. When I do tank maintenance I put it on Else mode which does all the different modes at random and its great because it brings everything up from my sand bed and rocks, no more having to blow of rocks or vacuum sand. It can cause a mini sand storm hence why its done with my weekly maintenance.

Your sig says you have a 75 ?  Do you have two WP25's in it?  I am trying to figure out what I should get for my 65.  In some ways I'd prefer to have only one circ pump in my tank for appearance sake, but having two dialed down would provide an emergency back up if one of them broke down.  I know I want lots of circulation this time -- more than I had before using an MP40.  I've found that the flow also really depends upon your live rock formation, which is another reason that I think 2 pumps would be better.  I'm not going to have a wall of rock against the back wall of my tank; thus, I might have a tower of rock that could impede flow, for example, if I only have one circ pump in the tank.

I am just using one wp25 right now. I have another one sitting in the box but i think i want to upgrade and get an wp40. The flow is ok and i think it works for me the way my return is diverted but more flow would be better so i would do (2)wp25's if you went that route.

I ran two wp 25s in my 90g for about two months and loved all the flow I got. I now run one wp 40 on wave mode off the side wall and on wp 25 in a back corner by my overflow. The growth I have seen since using these pumps is incredible! FLOW FLOW FLOW!! Highly recommended!!
