Does anyone have any experience with these guys? I got one the other day and he has disappeared in to the rocks, haven't seen him since the evening that I purchased him three days ago.

I had one for years. They are really funny fish. They will disappear for weeks at a time. I wouldn't worry about it. Takes them longer then most fish to get social.
I'd feed them at night with most of lights off inside and outside the tank to see if he comes out to eat then. You wouldn't always have to do that, just might want to do for now until he gets comfortable.

He died after my last tank move.... He had been fine for 2 moves but this last move killed the majority of my livestock.
Bought a new house, and do to some last minute compilations we had to be out of our old house but couldn't be in our new house for a week so I had to move the tank to a temp location, set it up for a week, then break it down again and move again. It was too much for most of my livestock. As of today I broke that tank down because I needed a break, this is the first time I haven't had SW tank it around 6 years.

Borbonius come from depths below 60 m(170'). Expect them to be reclusive and semi nocturnal for a while.
The WMAS encourages hobbyists to research the needs and likes of an organism prior to purchase/introduction.
