Just wondering for those who have dealt with stingrays, how hard/easy was it for you to get them to eat and what did they eat? my three rays have yet to eat, at least as far as I can tell. I've tried raw shrimp, and live clams. I've been trying to find squid but all the grocery stores have been out. I do had fiddler crabs in their pond, but have no Idea if they are eating them as the crabs tend to bury themselves in the sand. When i introduce food into the pond the rays do get active, they just don't take the food. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks |

Is Didysis breeding marine or freshwater rays? My experience is limited to one marine ray. I always pushed the individual Silversides into different spots in the sand with a long stick and had a great fun watching Mr. Ray squirt water into the sand to find a fish, then pull it out of the sand and crunch on it. | I just bought a little squid from Smiths' yesterday for my Triggers. I also saw frozen squid at Bird World like 2 weeks ago if you are trying frozen. |

What kind of rays are they. Different rays take to different foods easier. I would hit up an Asian market. Get some whitebait (small little fish), some squid and some small shrimp. | I just asked a buddy of mine who has 2 of these rays in Oregon how he got them to eat. He said that they did not eat for the first 8 days. He got fresh scallops from the deli and then soaked them in salmon oil and then hand fed them with a large claw. Thought I'd let you know if you want to try that. |

I have heard if they dont eat from the sand like you are feeding them you may have to hand feed them as love2ski has said. Like Mark said it could be very well that they are eating those crabs and are full and not interested in the food you are putting in. J
