Well after months and months I got the aquarium I had been eyeing! And even better it came with an amazing stand and canopy made by DRIFTWOOD Aquarium Furniture (http://customaquariumfurniture.com/)

Any way Got sick couldnt get it up so it was sitting my garage for a few months. Had some family come move it in for me and then it sat... and sat.....

But finally got it up and plumed, got some sand and rock in it and need to fill it up! So here are some pictures:

So the plumbing was already pretty much done so it wasnt hard, plus I had all the extra pieces I need. My wife always complains about all the extra PVC and connectors but I was glad I kept them all. So it only took about 5 min to plumb it!

Thanks Kevin

It is like a dream build for me, I am taking it super slow and making sure it is all what I want. I dont want to be thinking "SHOOT I should have......." in a few months. Its been hard going so slow but so far I am way happy.

For example. By waiting to do my plumbing I changed it so that my drain has a section off to the left with a ball valve... of that is a little nipple. That way I can hook up my reactors and dont have to use even more pumps=more cords. I saw it on Reef2Reef and thought it was awesome, apparently lots of people do it!

Eric

Thank you I was to lazy to go downstairs and check.

Also got my Apex Lite hooked up. Had troubles with it when I switched to the Fusion after 2 weeks I think me and Neptune (really me they are no help what so ever) have it figured out.

But now have the Auto feeder working, Leak detector working now working on the rest of it hopefuly will have it fully running this weekend.

Also have some issues with me AI lights... well the Director... IT IS HORRIBLE, but thanks to Brad at the Aquarium I will have that fixed by early next week.

LOVE THEM! I do not like the director though. Im working on getting a VDM for my Apex so that I can actually get my lights to work all the time. The iphone app for the director is awesome. It just constantly drops the lights. So I have to reset the director which means I loose all my saved programming. IT SUCKS!

Hi,

Do the clowns not fight? How did you introduce them, if you don't mind me asking. I want to have four in a 70G, with two pajama cardinals. There is plenty of room to hide and I would not add any other fish.

In theory, that is a good amount and the bioload/fish per gallon is not too high, but I know they are notorious for fighting.

Awesome tank too, I love all the clowns.

Marcos

I put them all in at the same time. I didnt acclimate them either. I dont acclimate any of my fish. They do not fight. I do feed them 4 or more times a day to make sure there is no food aggression.

Thanks all!

I've found that if you keep small groups of clowns they can fight. Like 3-5. However it seems when you keep larger groups they won't. (more then five). Type of clown also really makes a difference. With Osc and Percs they tend to be pretty peaceful. I've also mixed osc and skunks with no issues at all. I would not do large groups of tomatoes or clarkis.

Great info! I am going to try adding several clown fish next month, once my tank is in the clear. If they fight, I can move them to another tank.

Thanks!

We need to talk about the neatness (or lack of) in your sump. Do I need to come over and supervise while you clean that up? I've set a great example for you already what more do I need to do? giggle
