Anyone ever had this purple crap? I have a 29 nano. What will get tjis off?

Gently pull it off. Try to keep from popping the bubble.

Tried that. Seems like they just pop always.

Try placing a sock in your sump. Run a hose to the sock. Start a siphon and pluck off the algae as you suck the pieces through the hose into the filter sock.

This is brilliant, with multiple applications, totally will change how I siphon when I want to keep the water but get the crap out! Thanks for this tip.

Also if its on a small piece of rock just take it out and use a baster to flush it  after it is removed .

Always happy to help. I even utilized this method to catch a pair of clown gobies.

That algae is beautiful, in moderation. In that pic it adds color to the tank. Why get rid of it?

Because it's a nuisance algae and keeping it within "moderation" will require constant pruning. Nip it in the butt now and replace it with a much more beautiful Acro.
