Hate to bring this up again but I need some advice.

Yes I have read the previous posts about stray electricity. No I don't have a grounding probe.

I have gone through the process of elimination to find the stray electricity. Seems like I had more than one problem. One was a bad gfi, another a bad surge protector, and another was a bad rio pump. I'm thinking this in an awful lot of problems to cause the stray electricity. But removing/replacing these elements have removed the problem.

Thought I was doing really well until I plugged in my sedra 9000 pumps. Zap again. Both of them!!!!! Both less than 2 months old. Tried a different surge protector, removed the surge protector and still the same. This seems very strange that I would have ALL of these problems to cause stray electricity.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Will the grounding probe solve this? Should I just put my shoes on when I put my hands in the tank? Upstairs tanks are fine, I can only feel the zap in the downstairs tanks when I have my shoes off standing on the cement?

Is your house grounded? My house was built in the 50's and I only have the two prong plugs.

I was having crazy stray voltage problems until I grounded the socket that my tank plugs in to. Now the voltometer shows zero.

Just a though - hopefully Bugzme (Jeff) will chime in with some Pro electrician advice
