Has anyone on here ever used a windshield glass repair kit to fix a chip on their tank before? My dumb a** chipped the top corner of yes my new IM Nuvo 8 today. Its pretty minor and I doubt will cause any issues to the integrity of the tank but just seeing it there pisses me off so I'm wondering if its worth getting a chip repair kit and and at least making it so its not that noticeable.

Yeah that's what you get when you're not paying attention. Will post a pic in the morning. I did pick up a chip repair kit from AutoZone tonight. Will do some more research before I decide to pursue it as I don't want to make it look worse.

that first macro shot makes it look much worse than I believe it actually is. It is right above the water line top left corner and it isn't too noticeable. I know once the tank has live stock it will be even less noticeable but I know its there and that's enough lol

well I used a windshield repair kit. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. it's still noticeable but doesn't bother me nearly as much.

I would definitely use a window repair kit on an outside chip on a tank again; however, the resin needs a UV light to cure which I do not have so it took a little longer to setup and I think curing it with a uv light it would have looked better. Anywho those are my thoughts.

yeah im pretty surprised/pleased with how it turned out. Im going to see if I can find me a UV light and redo part of the chip to see if I can get it to come out better. Mostly for experimental purposes at this point.
