I recently bought a red coris wrasse with the hopes of nursing it back to health. I knew it was having issues because it was laying down a lot and not swimming much. He ate at the store but won't eat anymore. I noticed his lower lip is cut short as if it were caught in a powerhead and has now healed. Is there anything I can do to get him eating again?

Ann, I hope this isn't the case, but wraases, among other fish, may rip another fish's lower jaw off in competition.

I've never been able to get one like this to eat...that is probably the point. :-(

Good luck...hope I'm wrong.

Formula 1 & 2 flakes and PE Mysis. I'm trying bloodworms today and hopefully live brine as well.

I feel your pain.
Wishful thinking, but if only there were a way to save all the aquarium fish that are taken from the ocean.
Aloha,
Mark Hug
