When is a general good time to feed coral? I've always just fed during the daylight cycle but is the a better time for them to get more nutrients? Thanks all!

Sps at night that's when they have greater polyp extension. Same with chalice acans most lps. Fish are asleep also so they don't eat your mysis.

according to the most recent research I've read at advanced aquarist, its more beneficial to feed during the day due to the consumption of food requiring energy. Since there isn't any intake of photosynthetic energy by the coral during night, the process of feeding at night has less benefit for the coral. There is a huge benefit over feeding at night for the coral. As teknik states though, the polyp extension is greater at night increase the amount of food captured but my assumption is that if it is not utilized at the same amount as feeding during the day, then it is less beneficial to do so.
