I thought I would share this, as it is one of my favorites, and I have used it a number of times.
They sell these almost everywhere hardwareish (Ace, HD, Lowe's) for about $1.50. They make great bulkheads. The material on the right is craft foam, available at any craft stores and usually Wal-Mart. I use the foam to make a gasket. The backside is 1/2" threads so any of the NPT threaded hose barbs can screw on the back. I also found out today that a MaxiJet 600 screen (on the right) is a perfect friction fit.
