I have an ultra maxima clam, and he was facing upward towards the lights... Now he his horizontal... I dunno if he did this because he was getting too much light or what??? Any clue?
I cant move him he is glued to a rock... And i have LED's.
Let me know what you think. . .

Is he glued or do you mean he is attached by his foot? I hope you mean by his foot. Clams should never be glued down. Clams are inverts. They decide if they want to move. You could try moving it a tiny bit but if you tear the foot it could mean death.

I agree it's normal for them to move to where they want to be.
Did it happen to turn away from all light sources or did it turn toward a source of sunlight or sunlight reflected off the glass?
A pic would help.

Clams do not have a real photoinhibition point due to the way their mantles are. If he is moving, it may be looking for more light or different flow conditions (unless you have it within a couple inches of a 400w metal halide...it may not be comfortable with that.

But now faced 90 degrees from the light. . Still full as all get out and still showing color. I will try and work on a picture...
