Does anyone do dosing of micronutrients to their tank other thank Mg, Alk and Calc?

ie
vitamins
iodine - iodide
trace elements
strontium
etc....

Has anyone found that they are needed between water changes.

If anyone does dose them - why?  Better coloring, etc?

Yes, many hobbyists use those because:
- if the tank is packed with coral, it's easier and cheaper than frequent water changes
- some coral grow better or color up better with those supplemental elements
There are many brands of supplements that deliver a smorgasbord of trace elements. They all work.

How long do people go without doing a water change?  Maybe two months, and at the one month mark do a good dosing of these vitamins and minerals?
