| I wake up way early in the morning for work. I recently shined a small flash light into my tank before leaving. I was surprised to see many copepods in my display. I never see them in the display during the day, like I do in my sump when the light is on. I was curious, are the copepods in the display all day and just hidden, or do they leave the sump at night to work in the display? |

They are there all day... being eaten... and hiding. Cool huh? They learn to stay out in the sump as they find it safe from predators. Adam ------------- Come to a meeting, they�re fun! |

Are you speaking of Copepods or Amphipods? They are very different in size, shape, and movement. I suspect you are noticing the Amphipods.
