hello i was just wondering if any one had a magrove stalk that i could have so i dont have to start from a seed. do many people around here use them cause im thinking i would really like one growing in my tank.

I have several in my tank for looks.  As for functionality, I don't think they do any good.  
Easy to find some on here from time to time for sale.  If not, you may have to order them online.

I believe they do more than just look good. That said, I believe that Mangroves cannot even come close in comparison to Macroalgae for nutrient export efficiency. Smile

I agree. And the bigger mangroves get, the more they do. Also, if you can place them in direct sunlight for part of the day, they do even better.

Adam, i would love to come see your tank sometime i will call you next time i'm in the area. My intentions in having the mangroves is not to replace any current filtration or my protein skimmer but just cause i like diversity and think a tree would be a great addition to what i have going already.
