Bioluminescent algae never looked that cool to me until now.

is this for real? does this type of algae actually glow in the dark?

Yeah it's real. Perfect storm essentially had to occur to get it to grow in this concentration

yea when i went to puerto rico for vacation they had a "bioluminescence bay". You could go scuba or kayaking in it...we didn't but it looked awesome, you wave your hand through it and it leaves a trail of light.
