The best thing I have learned about tank photography is to use the tank lights where possible and take the pic when standing at an angle to the tank.

We miss Mike Savage and his extraordinary skills in this regard. Do a search and you will find a lot that he has said and done about it. Here is one of his TOTM pics of one of my tanks.

Man I miss Mike, he would of been all over this thread. 

Here is my greatest tank pic ever!


No photoshoping involved here, just a tripod, my camera, and a clown that stood almost perfectly still for the shot.
