Ok so this next question is for all of you people that have a tank that is large like 180 or bigger. What do you wish you would have done differently... I mean down to the plumbing. The only thing I would've done differently is gone to a 210 or bigger lol. Really the plumbing on them is pretty straightforward. I would be sure to use union fittings to make sure your pump is easily disconnected for cleaning. Also put a ball valve on each return so you have the option of tuning how much flow each one gives off, and shutting off backflow when you need to remove your pump. Ball valve on the pump inlet side, so you don't have to drain the sump when you take off the pump.

Not that my smallish sump was ever a problem, but it would be easier to work with a big sump in a different room and less noise around the display. I don't think I would want a 210. I liked the 180 because it was easy to reach to every corner. If I was to go bigger than 180, I think I would want it deeper, not taller. |
