Why do we have location as a country?  Why not change it to the city where we live that way it would be useful information?  I'm all in favor of location being a city any other opinions?

I agree - it's confusing to me as a user.

Good idea. I always have to clarify that I live in Vangaindrano, instead of Antananarivo.

This topic was discussed earlier and I believe the conclusion was that the program doesn't allow anything other than countries to be listed. And it was agreed that the next best thing was to post your location in the signiture by your name.

I think it is a function of "Web Wiz forums"

Indeed, which is why some people include it in their signature and encourage others to do the same.  You can tell by my signature that I've never done it (but do think it is a good idea).

This is from the Web Wiz Support Forums. It sounds like we could sub cities for countries in this text file. Don't know if this will work with this version of web wiz, but i find it hard to believe that this is not a customizable feature in all versions.

"to change the countries to states there is no database work all you need to do is change the file in the includes folder the file is select_countries_list.asp

change them to the states and you are done."

Jake - Can this be done?  This is a great idea, IMO.

Yes,

This can be done.  The reason I have stayed away from it is two fold:

1.  I don't want to manually add every city in Utah (how many cities are there in Utah?).

2. Every time an update comes out I can easily upgrade the forum.  Any changes I make would just increase the amount of time and difficulty of an upgrade.

If this would really make the forum better we could look into it.
