 i just got a beautifull pink and blue yuma ric and want to split it and wondering if anyone knows some safer methods besides pie cut method or splitting in half down middle? I have some cheaper rics that i want to experiment on before i try the new one it is to expensive to cut and kill

From my experience with pink yumas, they are very stingy with babies. I had mine for over 2 years and only got 2. I would wait awhile before trying to cut on it. They are pretty fragile also. I'd let it grow for a while before trying to frag it. Then I would just cut a wedge out of it and see how it responds. I cut my pink and blue ric right down the middle but left it attached to the rock. It has grown considerably since doing that and I think another mouth is forming now.
