I have used reefoptics 14k (250w mogul) and liked them. I am currently using Coralvue 14k and I like them as well. Both were pretty cheap. I think the reefoptics were ~$70 shipped (for both) and the Coralvue ~$80 shipped (for both). Some here use the ebay bulbs - I don't because I want consistency. I tend not to see the difference between my bulbs and others that use Phoenix that are 2x more money.

Here is a pic from my reef with the Coralvue bulbs and 2 t5 actinics.

Even though you called me a geek, I am willing to forgive and forget. :)

"single ended" are you talking a mogal base bulb? If so, I run the same and use 3 Blueline 14Ks  on my 120. If you like, swing by and look at the color to see if its what you want. I just got them a month ago... They were $55.00 each thru Chamion Lighting....

I have flying monkeys and I'm not afraid to use them.

180 gallon money pit that I love.....
