I have cut a few of my mushrooms and had good success. My question is can you cut all types of mushrooms the same way? I cut the heads off the base grows a new head and the head grows a new base. The reason I ask is I have a watermelon mushroom that I would like to cut but would hate to kill. Am I ok to cut away? Thanks

I'm guessing on this one but only from past knowledge and understanding of most corals. I've found that most any coral with a foot can be cut off of the foot and grow a new foot, while the other piece remains and grows a new head.

I'll even go so bold as to suggest cutting the head into 4 - 6 pieces. Cut it like a pizza so a bit of the mouth is included in each piece. All pieces will then grow anew!
