I have some Providone/iodine mix (I work for an urgent care), and can take some home to do a dip.  Would this stuff work ok?  Its strong stuff so I would have to water it down.  For hospital use only....lol.

I think that that would work just fine.  Reef Iodine is just highly consintrated and that is why you have to be a bit careful.  Zoos, xenia and some softies do alright with dosing Iodine right on to them.  It is the sps that you have to worry about the most.  I think that if you dilute it a bit you should be fine.  JMO.  I know that some of the other guys know more about this.
