It's interesting the hitchhikers you get when you trade stuff.  I got some Halameda from John last night at the meeting.  It had a several little tiny Xenia growing on it and the smallest Brittle Star I've ever seen.  At first I thought it was several Bristle Worms, but they are all joined together at a central hub.  It's only about 1" tip to tip.  Do you have many of these in your tank John?  I suppose you could have it back if you want it, but it may be difficult to find now.

As I got thinking about Bristle Worms and since it was late at night I tried to find some in my tank.  After about 20 minutes of looking I thought I had found some, but again, there were 4 of them joined at a hub.  This one was about 2 inches tip to tip.  Just for the record the imports from last night went into the sump and the second star was in the main tank.  I've been told there is no way these stars are breeding in my tank, but I'm having a hard time believing that.

Well I had at least one until last night .  Honestly, I don't have tons of bristleworms or stars but I do see them occasionally.  Keep all hitchhickers!

...these are the pros and cons of hitchhicking...

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to harvest it sooner instead of later.

Hitchhickers are the best.  I love discovering something in the aquarium that I had no idea was in there.
