I was wondering this and I thought I would throw it out there. I have not added any fish other than a couple clarkii's since my heater incident. My pod population has EXPLODED. (There are parts of my sand bed that at first glance looks like it is moving... well it is actually a bunch of PODS). I was wondering if it is possible to have too many pods - I think that my plate coral is getting irritated by them. OR is it just that they may be feeding off of a coral that is on it's way out? |

When we set up our tank with just corals, we had a ton of 'em. I
thought it was cool to have the tank with just corals because it made it so eazy to feed the sun polyps. Then, the pods got so overwhelming, they would steal the food from the sun polyps! So, I got a green spotted mandarin. You should see him now! He is the fattest Mandarin I've ever seen! Can you catch any for my seahorses? I can trade for 'shrooms! |

I caught 100 or so (kinda tought to count Rewease the secwet weapon! (Mandarin is going in! I'm gonna have the chubbiest mandarin on the block!) |

You can never have too many pods. If you think you do GREAT, get another Mandarin. The question is: Can you ever have too many Mandarins? Not if you can keep them fed. Can you tell Mandarins are one of my favorite fish? |

I'll take some and post them. It is definately doing better! I'll have to post some pics of the shower/tub too. We finally got it grouted this last weekend. Woo hoo! Thanks for all your help on that Brad! |

I don't think you can have too many pods. I guess in theory you could, but one large wrasse, or a mandarin, or something like that will eat far far far more than you would think. Adam ------------- Come to a meeting, they�re fun! |

I tried Baensch, the web, Michael's, etc. I cannot any info on a Blundell Wrasse. What is it? Is it reef safe? Is it a macroalgae wrasse? Is it all wrasses? ------------- Richard Alpine, UT |

Blundell Wrasse! You couldn't find any info? That is terrible. I'll check into that and see why they aren't listed. You can buy them at some local stores (Marine Aquatics had two last time I was there). Thalasomma bifasciatum, some people call them Blue Head Wrasse.... but then again some people still say Palythoa. Adam ------------- Come to a meeting, they�re fun! |
