I have a pretty big green BTA, its about 9-10"s across.  Anyways here the last couple weeks I've noticed he is losing some of his tentacles.  I'm guessing somebody in the tank is eating them?  It is host to a pair of GSM's, and it's hard for me to believe that something got past that female, if you know what I mean.  Here is what all I have in my tank:

Yellow tang
Hippo tang
Sailfin tang
Blue neon blenny
2 maroon clowns
fairy wrasse
royal gamma
Green mandarin
2 cleaner shrimp

There is a colony of polyps (clove? maybe) that it touches when it spreads really wide, and the tentacles are missing on that side.  Maybe its them?

I don't know! Any ideas?  Will they grow back?

Thanks guys!

Perhaps I would be better at basket weaving. . . at least it would be cheaper!

Trim back the woods polyps. I have the same issue with my rose when the xenia gets out of control. My anemone decides not to extend fully on that side and looks lopsided even though the tentacles are still there. Are you sure they are missing or are they just deflated? Have any pictures?

Well, he doesn't hardly ever have "bubble tentacles" he looks more like a LTA most of the time, but the ones that I'm saying are missing literally look like something has torn them off.  There is about a centimeter left of them, and they are a little shriveled up.  I will try to get some pics but it might take me a while, I will have to find the camera.
