So one of my tanks is a Brine Shrimp Display tank---yes---just shrimps!  LOL

So I was thinking---since I only use regular flourescent lighting-- don't Gorgonians just need to be fed(he he little baby artemesia) and not require light?

Also I do not heat this tank---but shouldn't they also take cooler temps? Prolly in the 60's--I just bought a thermometer today for that tank-will test it out tomorrow!

If this is the case---who has a gorgonian frag that we can try?

I don't have much experience with non-photosynthetic gorgonians; but here is a good article to read:

non-photosynthetic gorgonians with big polyps do eat newly hatched brineshrimp; but the capture rate might not be effective to sustain the corals.

My plan was very similar, but I haven't gotten around to setting it up.  I think the problem would be water quality.  My plan was an in line (with display) over flow that could be shut off, but also turned on to feed the system and replace the water in the hatchery.

Keep us posted.
