Maybe I am just an idiot but I often have used the quick reply field to write a response, then hit the "post reply" button only to have a new window come up with the same fields but my response is missing. This usually only happens on lengthy responses Confused

Why do we have the two locations for replies? Can we add some logic to the button to check that the message text field is empty before opening the page?

I see what you are saying.  If you use the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the thread then you need to click on the "Post Reply" button within the Quick Reply box.  The other "post reply" button at the bottom of the page opens up a new full reply window.

I realized that after I had done this a few times. I occasionally still click the wrong button though. The only difference now is that I know that i'm an idiot when I do it. Wacko

Maybe you just need a smaller monitor.

Jeff,

Thanks for your recommendation. We did discuss this at our last presidency meeting. Although this change is possible, we do not feel it is a large enough flaw in the message board to warrant a coding change. Please realize that any major changes we make to the message board will be essentially "erased" whenever MB upgrades are released.
