I have 4 clams in my tank right now.  Today, one of them is looking terrible.  The shell is open but the entire mantle and body tissue is sunken and shrivled up inside the shell.
Rest of the tank looks fine.  Actually the leathers and acros look fabulous today.
Ideas?

Maybe Amie is right.  Maybe my ammonia levels are too low.  Maybe I need to polute my tank with phyto so it can catch more food.  Hmmm, except my other 3 clams look great.

You could always use the now infamous, Mark Petersen ammonia spiking procedure.  Smile Please use a step ladder though ....

Salinity, Calcium, alkalinity, and pH are the first things I would check.

It think the clam is a goner, but hopefully you can save the rest from the same fate.
