Hey evrybody I just finally set up my 90g with 29g long sump/refuge.
I used mostly utahrock that I collected.  and utah sand (thanks Mark .P.)
I put almost half of my live sand from my 29g. and maybe 10lbs of live rock also. I still need to put the rest of live sand and rock from my 29g, but I need to wait untill the 90s ready, how long should I wait before I can put alll my coral and fish in there? will it still cycle even though I put some live sand and rock in there.
It has been 4 days so far and the water is good on all tests.
should I be leaving my lights on?

 thanks Frank

I also will be needing some more macro, cheato for my sump, If someone near sandy has some they need to clear out.

I will try to post some pics of the new tank when I borrow a camera.

You will next see the brown diatoms, at that point you can put some cleaner crew in it.  You can search here for new tank setup where Mark has a very good write-up.  I did not want when I went from my 29 to my 90.  I moved everything over 100% in the same day and did not have any issues.  Understand that that was just my experience.  I also used LBTR and Oolitic sand along with what was in my tank.

That's the reason to use LR and LS from another healthy tank in starting a new tank. Cycling is almost nil and livestock can go in almost, if not, immediately. Big%20smile

Remember to either move the LR in a bucket submerged from tank to tank or to "shake rattle and roll" the LR to get all the killing air bubbles out of it in the new tank.Smile
