I picked up an odd filter from someone who was selling some stuff from a salt water set-up that they had never used and didn't know anything about.  I was thinking that this might have been used as a Ca reactor as the owner had already sold some CO2 equipment that she didn't know went with the tank.

Here it is from the front.  At the bottom is an inlet, an output and a drain.  Near the top is a threaded opening with a pressure guage.

Input, output, drain

Upper opening with guage (don't see any use for it)

The input goes into a riser in the bottom of the cannister

A grated cannister fits over the riser

Heres the hole in the top with the screw closure

Here's a schematic
Where should the water from the tank and CO2 be input-ed, pre or post pump?  I don't think it would matter where the effluent came from (C or D) as long as I extended some stiff tubing down from the top (D) so that CO2 gas wouldn't come out.

Thanks for any help.
