Ok, first off sorry no photo.  One I don't have a capable camera, two it's too small.

I have a small slug/nudibranch looking thing in my tank.  It's blue/violet and white, single split down the middle of the back with a mottled white pattern and red tipped white feelers/antenna.  It's only about 4-5 mm long.  Any ideas

How about a possible unknown creature topic?

Thanks,

Nate

That's very small but cool that you found it. Call me and I'll run over right now and take a pic! Seriously.

Thing is, it tends to move around the tank.  I find it at random intervals and it's gone from one side of the tank to the other in a matter of about 4 days.  Next time I'm home and see it, I'll give you a call.

Sound like a nudibranch!!  But IDing it may be difficult.  http://www.seaslugforum.net/ - http://www.seaslugforum.net/

You may want to try http://www.seaslugforum.net/ - http://www.seaslugforum.net/ , but without a picture I think you are going to be looking for a "decorator crab on a reef" (needle in a haystack).

Okay folks, here are some shots of Nathan's rock including the nudibranch as best I could get it and sharpen the pic. It's as he said, only 1/4 inch long!!

Now that I see this close up below, it looks exactly like a stony coral polyp to me:

Some light green with blue edged algae, pink sponge, a worm tentacle and more:

The one is an anemone, I say this because it has moved from one side of the rock to another.  It tends to come out at night, and stretch out from the rock.  I like it's color, and just wish it was one that could host my clowns!

Also many thanks to Mark for taking the pictures and going out of his way to come down and look at my tank!

Nate
