I'm going to build a new sump. And I use that term loosely. I was just
thinking of tanking a 29g glass tank and putting two dividers at either end so I have 3 compartments. It would drain into the first compartment with the Skimmer throught a sock. That would overflow into the refugium which would overflow into the return pump chamber. Is this too simplistic? Or too complicated? Should I just have 2 compartments the way I have it now and just put the skimmer in with the return pump? Currently, I have the main tank water being slit between teh refug and the sump with the majority of the flow going to the sump. Is this sufficient? Anyone have any simple designs they could share before I do something stupid? As long as all the Refugium water doesn't go through the skimmer, it will be fine. If you have ever seen my setup, you might comment on it's simplicity. No mechanical filtration whatsoever. And no skimmer.
